2.1 What personal data do we process about you?

We have indicated in the table below the categories of personal data that we process about you and how we collect them.

Categories of data	Description of the data
Student user account details	This is data that is communicated to us about students through the SAML authentication process (email address, first name, last name and display name).
Admin User account details	This is data that is communicated to us about admin users through the SAML authentication process (email address, first name, last name and display name).
Log-in details	This is data that you communicate to us when you log-in to Peer Square (your Teams account details and acceptance of the Peer Square terms of use)
Student user profile	This is data that you communicate to us when you are invited to complete your user profile after your first log-in: identification data (first name, last name, display name, email address, a secondary email address, date of birth), Education & training (name of school, program, grade), personal characteristics (gender), image recording ( cover and avatar photo), others (languages, first language, how long have you been attending current school, how long have you been in Luxembourg, subjects you can help with, subjects you want to progress in)
Question data	Peer Square allows you to raise questions. When you use this functionality, we will process your username as well as the title and description of your questions.
Response data	Peer Square allows you to respond to other students’ questions. When you use this functionality, we will process your user name as well as the content of your response
Liked questions	Peer Square allows you to like other students’ questions. When you use this functionality, we will process your user name as well as the questions you liked
Call data	Peer Square allows you to organize video calls via Teams. When you use this functionality, we will process your username, the usernames of the other call participants, the scheduled/ rescheduled call time, electronic identification data (IP address of all participants)
Study groups data	Peer Square allows you to organize study group meetings. When you use this functionality, we will process your username, the usernames of the other participants to the study group meeting, the date, the duration and the subject of the study group meeting.
Notification data	Peer Square provides you with notifications. In this context, the username of the notified user, the corresponding alerts on meetings, messages and questions, as well as user information like first name, last name, program, grade and subjects will be processed.
Friend data	Peer Square allows you to search/add for a friend or “unfriend” a friend. When you use this functionality, we will process your username, user information like first name, last name, program, grade and subjects, profile picture and the username of the friends you decide to add or “unfriend”?
Activity data	Peer Square foresees the publication of your own activities and the activities of your friends. In this context, information about your activities and the activities of your friends is processed as well as user information like first name, last name, program, grade and subjects will be processed.
Search data	Peer Square allows you to search for existing questions and answers. When you use this functionality, we will process your username, user information like first name, last name, program, grade and subject, , as well as the questions & answers resulting from you search.
Course data	Peer Square allows you to access courses. When you use this functionality, we will process your username, user information like first name, last name, program, grade and subject, electronic identification data (IP address) and the courses followed
Support data	Peer Square allows you to benefit from technical support and to report abuse. To provide you such support, your username, email address and request will be processed.
Language data	Peer Square allows you to choose your preferred language. To keep track of your preference, we will process user information like first name, last name, program, grade, subjects and your preferred language.
Recommendation data	Peer Square will suggest friends to users in the same school or the same age group. To do this, we will process your identification data (username, age), subjects of questions raised, participation rate, school, grade, user information like first name, last name, program, and subjects will be processed.
Log files	Peer Square logs all user activities to secure user data. In this context, we will process your username and electronic identification data such as IP address and audit trails.

2.2 For what purposes do we use your personal data and on what legal basis do we use them?

We have indicated in the table below the purposes for which we process your personal data, the associated legal basis on which we legally process your personal data and the categories of personal data (as identified above) used for those purposes:

2.3 Who has access to your data?

To pursue the purposes specified above, we will share your personal data with the following recipients:

Service Providers	We collaborate with service providers who work on our behalf and who may need access to some of your personal data to provide us with their services. These include Coco World, the owner of the Peer Square Platform, which is also providing hosting and support services to us.
Our staff	In some cases, our staff will need access to your personal data to enable us to pursue the purposes indicated above.
Other users	The users have access to all questions and answers asked on the platform. Unless the users mark a question as private, it will appear to his network of friends. Users don't have full access to their peers' profiles. They only have access to First name, Last name, Display name, School name, Subjects I can help in, Subjects I want to progress in, total number of badges points (in addition to the list of friends).

Some of our service providers are located in countries other than ours. When we transfer personal data to countries outside the European Economic Area that are considered by the European Commission as not providing an adequate level of protection for personal data, we use Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission to ensure adequate protection.
